On the way home for dinner, we saw a movie being filmed off Washington Square Park. There was a PA trying to get people off the sidewalk so they could shoot a scene. He was telling people that the movie was a live adaptation of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice starring Nic Cage. I assumed that this was a joke he told people to get them out of the way. Like he came up with the most awful, ridiculous and unappealing movie concept he could think of so people would get disgusted and leave. And it worked. Once he said this, people seemed to find better things to do and move along.
WELL. It turns out…this is a real movie!
