They figured out a way to make the firing NOT be the line in the sand it needed it to be. Now the conversation will continue, and there are clearly far bigger problems in the organization.
I guess he had to go, but the way they went about this…overnight, after a solid road win and after an extra weekend of speculation…certainly brought some doubt back in my mind. He certainly didn’t deserve to go out like this. Very Knicksesque.
